E46 with an S85 V10!

The V10-swapped BMW E46 M3 by Driftworks is an incredible engineering feat, known for its aggressive sound and performance. This project involves fitting the high-revving 5.0-liter S85 V10 engine from the E60 M5 into the E46 chassis. The swap, executed by Driftworks and specialists like Dynotorque, required significant custom modifications, including a bespoke stainless-steel exhaust system, strengthened subframe, and a modified steering setup to accommodate the larger engine.

The car uses a manual six-speed gearbox from the E90 M3 and features an upgraded clutch and differential. Custom coilovers, reinforced suspension components, and high-performance brakes were added to handle the V10’s power and enhance handling. This build also includes aesthetic upgrades like flared arches, an AC Schnitzer carbon lip, and bespoke wheels, making it visually as striking as it is mechanically.
